Spiritually Speaking

Religion can be seen as a search for meaning through story telling. A few weeks ago, Jews celebrated Passover, a holiday built around telling the story of liberation from slavery in Egypt. It is, of course, the story told in the Book of Exodus.

This year, Finland has been crowned the “happiest country in the world”, according to The World Happiness Report, 2018, which was released by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network for the United Nations.

Our family has a tradition of making cards for birthdays, Christmas and Easter. This year my young granddaughter decided to write a poem in her Easter card. I had expected something about chocolate and Easter egg hunts, two of her favourites.
