In an exciting new development, Habitat for Humanity Victoria has announced the opening of its brand new ReStore location at 721 Vanalman Ave this November.
The move from the beloved Uptown ReStore on Oak Street marks a significant step in expanding the organization’s mission to provide affordable housing solutions and environmentally conscious shopping options for the local community.
The new ReStore showroom will be conveniently situated close to the former Oak Street location, ensuring it remains centrally accessible to communities across the South Island. The Vanalman location will also retain the dedicated staff from the Uptown location, a team which has been instrumental in Habitat for Humanity Victoria’s commitment to serving their valued customers over the years.
Spanning an impressive 10,000 square feet, the new ReStore location will be a treasure trove of new and gently used furniture, flooring, appliances, building materials, plumbing fixtures, cabinets, lighting, tools, doors, windows, paint, and hardware, all offered at a fraction of their retail cost. In addition to these essentials, shoppers can also explore an array of antiques and vintage finds. As always, ReStore welcomes donations, helping you clear out unwanted items while contributing to a worthwhile cause and the community’s sustainability.
Habitat for Humanity ReStore is not just your go-to for budget-friendly home improvement projects; it is an essential environmental ally. By diverting items in good working order away from landfills, ReStore actively promotes sustainability and responsible consumerism. Every purchase made at the ReStore fuels Habitat for Humanity Victoria’s mission to provide safe and affordable housing to families in need. The revenue generated is earmarked to cover the operational cost of the charity, with any excess proceeds directly added to the organization’s Build Fund, which partners with local families to construct affordable homes.
"We are excited to open the doors of our newly relocated ReStore at 721 Vanalman Ave and continue our mission of building a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live," says Frank Baker, director of retail operations and business development at Habitat for Humanity Victoria. "Not only does the ReStore provide affordable household essentials and building materials, but it also plays a significant role in supporting Habitat for Humanity's affordable housing mission."
Habitat for Humanity Victoria ReStore invites Victoria locals to join them in making a difference. Whether you are shopping for household essentials, donating goods, or building supplies, the new location promises an even greater range of options and opportunities to support their vision.
Habitat for Humanity Victoria’s new ReStore location is set to open on 721 Vanalman Ave in November 2023. Until then, shoppers can continue to visit their location at 849 Orono Ave to discover incredible bargains for their home while supporting Habitat for Humanity Victoria.
