Saanich has renewed its fire dispatch agreements with Oak Bay and Central Saanich until 2028.
The five-year terms, which renew automatically unless one party decides to pull out, will replace the existing contract that expires at the end of this year.
Saanich has had a fire dispatch agreement with Oak Bay since 2004 and with Central Saanich since 2008.
The agreement has a fee-per-call payment structure, with each municipality paying quarterly based on the number of calls.
The base services that are covered under the agreement include dispatch services, non-emergency call handling, training and tech support services.
