Man throws coffee on mother and baby in downtown Victoria

The assailant is described as a white man in his thirties, about five feet and six inches tall with a medium build.

Victoria police are searching for a man who threw coffee on a mother and her baby while they were walking in the 900-block of Yates Street on Wednesday morning.

The woman was pushing her baby in a stroller about 8:40 a.m. when the man suddenly tossed the coffee at the two, yelled an obscenity to the mother about her baby and left on foot.

Luckily, the coffee was not hot enough to injure the woman or baby.

The assailant is described as a white man in his thirties, about five feet and six inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black-and-grey jacket and baggy black pants.

He was last seen near Quadra and Yates streets.
