Car flips onto roof in Oak Bay; medical issue to blame, police say

A 72-year-old woman sustained minor injuries Friday afternoon when her vehicle struck on unoccupied car on Cadboro Bay Road and flipped onto its roof.

Oak Bay police responded about 1:45 p.m. to the 2400-block of Cadboro Bay Road, between Dalhousie Street and Woodhouse Road, near Willows Elementary School.

Officers determined the collision was the result of a medical issue.

B.C. Transit buses were detoured for about an hour and a half, returning to their regular routing about 3:15 p.m.
