Assault suspects sought on West Shore after altercation outside home

Police said the people, who can be seen on surveillance video, were not known to the homeowner but the incident appears to have been targeted.

West Shore RCMP are trying to identify two people who got into a physical altercation with a homeowner on Monday after knocking on the door of a residence in the 2400-block of Sooke Road.

Police said the people, who can be seen on surveillance video, were not known to the homeowner but the incident appears to have been targeted.

They said they do not believe there is any safety concern for the public.

One suspect is described as white and five-foot-eight to five-foot-10, and was wearing a blue hoodie, jogging pants and a dark baseball cap. The other has a medium build and was wearing a dark jacket.

Police noted that the night-vision camera used in one of the pictures makes the suspects’ clothing appear lighter than it really is.

If you recognize one or both of these individuals, please call the West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264 or report anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS-8477.
