Pet photographer Zulu-Dog will take professional photos of your pet this weekend with the most famous foul-tempered, heartless and green-haired creature of the holidays.

Photos are $15 for two emailed or hard-copy pictures ($5 for extra shots).

All pets are welcome. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Bosley's Pet Food Plus, 104-4478 West Saanich Rd.

Bear Wear, now in its 12th year, is back at the Hotel Grand Pacific. The event, a fundraiser for the Children's Health Foundation of Vancouver Island, features teddy bears dressed up by local businesses and individuals.

The Children's Health Foundation operates Jeneece Place - which provides temporary accommodation for families who travel to Victoria for medical care - funds programs at the Queen Alexandra Centre for Children's Health and provides grants to organizations across Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.

The festive bears are on display in the lobby of the hotel, and visitors are invited to cast votes for the People's Choice Bear, with a $2 suggested donation per vote. You can even win the bear you voted for in a raffle.

The bears are on display until Jan. 3 at the hotel, 463 Belleville St.

The clip-clop of hooves will once again reverberate in parts of downtown Victoria this holiday season as traditional horse-drawn trolleys return to our streets.

Two free trolleys will circulate on a pre-set route throughout the downtown every weekend until Dec. 23. Hop on to take in the sights and sounds of Christmas celebrations downtown, or just rest your weary feet.

The trolleys, which are free of charge, thanks to the Downtown Victoria Business Association, operate from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays until Dec. 23. There are four stops:

? Store Street at Chatham Street (in front of Ocean River Sports)

? Johnson Street near Wharf Street (in front of Willie's Bakery)

? Langley Street at Bastion Square (across from Rebar)

? Government Street at Fis-gard Street (in front of CRD Plaza)
