Donors like you have given the Times Colonist Christmas Fund a total of $955,914.03 since the start of this year’s campaign, and the money is still coming in.
By Wednesday afternoon, we had received 3,135 individual donations from people who want to make this a special festive season for the entire community.
Thanks to everyone for your support as we edge closer to our $1-million goal. The more money we raise, the more support we can give to those in need.
All donations, small and large, are welcome. In the past few days we have seen several $25 donations as well as one of $25,000. That one came from Jason Gordon of Vancouver, who has given substantial support in previous years as well.
Andrew Beckerman’s $5,000 challenge brought in some other $5,000 donations. There has also been strong support from local businesses.
It all helps. It all makes a difference.
We have already given $1 million to about 60 organizations, with one-third being allocated through a partnership with the local chapter of the Sovereign Order of St. John.
A reminder that donations made by Sunday will give you a tax receipt, which can be used on your 2023 tax returns.
We expect to have the final count for this year’s campaign by early January, when the last cheques arrive. Until then, we will continue with our daily updates.

HOW TO DONATE TO TC THE CHRISTMAS FUND
To donate, go online to tcchristmasfund.com. That page is linked to CanadaHelps, which is open 24 hours a day and provides an immediate tax receipt.
You could also call 250-995-4438 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today or Friday and donate using a credit card. Outside of those hours, leave a message and we will get back to you.
