The seventh-seed Victoria Royals will play the second-seed Portland Winterhawks in the opening round of the WHL Western Conference playoffs.
The match-up was decided based on results Saturday in the closing weekend of the WHL regular season.
The best-of-seven series opens next Friday and Saturday nights in Portland. The third and fourth games will be played Tuesday, April 2, and Wednesday, April 3, at Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre.
The Winterhawks won the regular-season series 4-0 against Victoria but two of those games went to extra time with Portland winning one in overtime and another in a shootout.
