Rebels' pair among All-Canadians

A pair of Westshore Rebels were among the All-Canadians announced by the Canadian Junior Football League on Wednesday.

Runningback Greg Morris, who led the country in rushing with 1,527 yards on 150 carries and 14 touchdowns, was joined by teammate Quinn Van Gylswyk as the All-Canadian punter.

The Vancouver Island Raiders led the country with three of 14 positions including quarterback Jordan Yantz (175 completions for 3,243 yards and 33 touchdowns - which led all three categories); receiver Whitman Tomu-siak (37 receptions for 919 yards and eight touchdowns); and offensive lineman Tyler Oldendorf.

The CJFL will release the defensive All-Canadians today and major award winners will be named at Friday's Canadian Bowl banquet of champions in Langley. The B.C. Football Conference champion Rams then face the Saskatoon Hilltops for the national championship on Saturday at 1 p.m. at McLeod Stadium in Langley.
