Football B.C. made it official on Tuesday evening naming Marcus Davis of the Mount Douglas Rams as the triple-A player of the year at the 2012 Subway Bowl banquet awards in Vancouver.

The Grade 11 receiver/running back, who also plays defensive back and returns kicks, amassed 2,457 all-purpose yards and added 28 touchdowns over the season, which will culminate on Saturday with the Rams facing Vancouver College in the Subway Bowl.

"Without my coaches and teammates this accomplishment would be pretty tough to achieve," said Davis. "It's a team game and if we didn't have the team around us we wouldn't be as dominant."

Marcus follows in the footsteps of his older brother Terrell Davis, who won the award last season at Mount Douglas.

Parksville's Liam O'Brien, quarterback of the Ballenas Whalers, is the 2012 double-A player of the year as he threw for 2,208 yards and 26 TDs and added 747 yards rushing and 13 majors along the ground.
