Kings sweep Grizzlies in two-game BCHL set in Powell River

Noah Eyre’s third-period goal gave the Powell River Kings a 2-1 B.C. Hockey League victory over the Victoria Grizzlies on Saturday night in Powell River. Will Jones of the Kings and Reegan Hiscock of the Grizzlies traded second-period goals.

Oliver Auyeung-Ashton made 25 saves in goal for the Grizzlies to be named game second star and Kyle Metson 35 for the Kings to be named first star.

The Kings (6-11-3), who defeated the Grizzlies 7-2 on Friday night, swept the two-game set to send Victoria to 7-10-3.

The Grizzlies are in Duncan to play the Cowichan Valley Capitals on Friday night before hosting the Capitals next Saturday at the Q Centre.
