Dover Bay, Brentwood advance to B.C. high school basketball championship games while Oak Bay falls

The Tamanawis Wildcats of Surrey defeated the top-ranked Oak Bay Bays 80-79 in overtime in the semifinals of the B.C. Quad-A high school basketball championships on Friday night at the Langley Events Centre.

Second-ranked Spectrum, making its first appearance since the 1990s, was playing the West Vancouver Highlanders in a semifinal game in progress at press time. The championship game is tonight.

The Dover Bay Dolphins advanced into the B.C. Triple-A championship game for the second consecutive year after beating the Lord Byng Grey Ghosts 68-56 in the semifinals Friday night at Langley Events Centre.

Brentwood College will play in the B.C. Double-A championship game LEC tonight after beating Langley 72-65 in the semifinals Friday. — TC
