Week 7 - Oh yeah baby! That's what I'm talkin' about!!

Week 7 - What did I learn this week: 1) I'm smarter than I thought 2) I'm dumber than I thought 3) I'm weaker than I thought and 4) I hate lentils More on lesson 1 - I passed my first CMA AP exam!!! I am so relieved! The class average was only 58% so

Week 7 - What did I learn this week: 1) I'm smarter than I thought 2) I'm dumber than I thought 3) I'm weaker than I thought and 4) I hate lentils

More on lesson 1 - I passed my first CMA AP exam!!!  I am so relieved!  The class average was only 58% so I was very relieved to find out I did better than the class average and passed now I need atleast 49% on test 2 on April 13 to pass segment 1 and move onto segment 2.  Let's hope I learned from my last exam and will try try try to get more studying in for test 2 coming up!

More on lesson 2 - At the end of my Monday morning workout last week - my trainer innocently asks me "How was that?" Me (without taking the time to consider that this may be a loaded question) "Not bad - It seems to be getting easier" my trainer "Good to hear because we will be taking it up a notch from now on" Me "Sounds awesome" externally - internally I don't think there are enough # and $ signs to type out all the swear words I was thinking.  Mental note - when your trainer asks you how was that - try to think before you speak as it is probably a loaded question which will inevitability cause you to have to work out harder next time!

More on lesson 3 - At my daughter's last basketball practice they had a parents vs. kids game and silly me was thinking that I have been working out and getting in better shape, so I should be able to hold my own against a bunch of 13 year olds.  WRONG!  My daughter was so strong and held her position so well I couldn't move her no matter how hard I tried and fouled her!  After like 5 minutes I had to get my husband to check her because I just couldn't do it.  It's awesome that my daughter is so strong but kinda depressing for me that I can get my butt kicked by a 13 year old :( Oh well maybe if we have a parents vs. kids game for my 4 years olds soccer team, I will be able to take them on :)

More on lesson 4 - We had a potluck at work on Friday and I had declared Friday a cheat day.  Well one thing I have discovered is that when you are eating alot healthier that cheat days only really make you feel sick and bloated for the rest of the day and you can't really even eat that much as you get full too fast :( I will have to relook at this cheat day thing and try to up my game next time!  Anyway, my co-workers were giving me grief about the lack of veggies on my plate so I was forced to try some of Pedro's lentils - are lentils a vegetable? - (it seemed like the lesser evil of the options I had to choose from).  Let's just say that lentils will not be making a regular appearance on my menu plan.  Gross is all I can say - Sorry Pedro!  Here is a pic of me trying lentils:

Here's how my week went exercise:

Monday - Early morning workout and my big mouth getting me into trouble but saying things were getting easier!

Tuesday - She's back baby!!! Julie is back at lunch time bootcamp with me which is awesome.  She makes it alot of fun. Oh bootcamp was hard but way funner with Julie there.

Wednesday - A much harder early morning workout thanks to my big mouth on Monday.  Who would have thought that only using your own body weight could make things way harder than lifting weights?

Thursday - 100 Burpies with push-ups at lunch time bootcamp - need I say more!

Friday - Early morning spin class which was getting easier too - guess I will need to step it up more next time too.  For crying out loud - awesome that I am getting in better shape but frustrating that I'm not in the maintenance phase yet and will need to work alot harder for awhile yet.  Oh well - I will get there - one minute at a time!

I also had my mental coaching session on Friday and learned that should, have to, need to are bad words - you should be saying want to.  When you use should, have to etc you are already starting yourself off on a negative foot.  For example - I want to work out extra hard today apparently makes it more positive vs. saying I have to work out extra hard today.  I should work on that - correction I want to work on that!

Food wise the week was pretty good.  Lots of smoothies and a cheat day that I should be embarrased about as I wanted to do way better.  Go big or go home.  And since I couldn't go big I went home :)

Till next time......

Laters Baby!!
