Premier should end generous pensions

The letter with respect to the writer's company pension brings home the fact that the majority of middle-class citizens have to exist on the minimum of pensions when they retire.

The writer states that he receives $15,000 annually after 17 years of driving a bus. My annual company pension after 18 years with the Insurance Corporation of B.C. as a legal secretary is $6,600. I should have been a bus driver.

However, I do understand his thinking. The obscene wages, benefits and bonuses that government officials receive is disgraceful, and most definitely should come to a full stop. Here is an opportunity for Premier Christy Clark to put an end to it, but I'm doubtful that she will.
