Pedestrian signs needed on Dallas Road

The signs guiding "cruisers" off the docks to town direct them to the only two exits onto Dallas Road.

The signs guiding "cruisers" off the docks to town direct them to the only two exits onto Dallas Road. Both exits are at a curve in the road and consequently both have two direction blind spots for drivers, many of whom like to "open up" their engines along just that wide open stretch of road.

Why in the world are there no marked pedestrian-crossing signs at either of these two exists? Don't want to slow down traffic? It's like running the gauntlet to cross the street at these locations at times.
