'No money' rule doesn't seem to apply to all

B.C.'s teachers went through months of prolonged and pointless haggling to try to reach a settlement while being constantly told there was no money for a salary increase. Eventually they were forced into a contract that really earned them nothing.

All of a sudden, the nurses have a contract with a two per cent increase and days later, the B.C. Government and Services Employees' Union inks a deal with a four per cent raise. Seems there must be an election not too far in the future.

Funny how "no money" applies only in certain situations and for certain groups.
