The mayor's upcoming mission to China in October is an important one for many key sectors of our economy.
In China specifically, mayors open doors that would not otherwise be open to the average businessperson. This is why missions to China from all over the world are often led by the mayor of that city.
I applaud Mayor Dean Fortin and the City of Victoria for leading a multi-sector delegation to this dynamic economy. The landscape there is competitive; building relationships with tour operators, airlines and political influencers is vital to growing business for Victoria.
