Re: "TLC in survival mode shrinks office, staff," Sept. 22.
It is with sadness that I read that The Land Conservancy is in "survival mode." It is a shame that three years ago, a small group of people worked against the efforts of the board to prevent such a demise.
It is important that we recognize the wonderful work TLC has done to protect natural, historical and agricultural properties both in the Victoria region and throughout the province for well over a decade. The staff, the board and the hundreds of volunteers at TLC have put countless hours into restoring, conserving and protecting lands, gardens and buildings for us all to enjoy.
Let us hope that the positive legacy of TLC will be there long into the future.
