During last week’s leaders’ debate on the economy, Stephen Harper said during the economic debate that “most new and existing and old-stock Canadians” agree with his policy on refugee health care.

The Coast Salish have lived in the Greater Victoria area for centuries. Harper is descended from recent immigrants. Perhaps he could clarify what he means by “old-stock Canadians,” and why he thinks that old-stock and new Canadians agree with him.
