Ferry cuts will reduce access up Island

It is fine for those in Victoria to laud the cutbacks when there are no cutbacks from Swartz Bay/Tsawwassen, but those of us living up-Island who might wish to spend a day south of the Fraser on a Saturday and return on the 5: 45 sailing to Duke Point will be cut off from that possibility.

Has the argument that the ferry system is, in reality, part of our highway system ever been answered? The idea that money needs to be made on each crossing takes us back to the central reason that premier W.A.C. Bennett created B.C. Ferries in the first place.
