Even developed cortex can make poor choice

As a 12-year-old leader of the Victoria Youth Climate Strike, I am surprised to learn that my prefrontal cortex isn’t developed enough to let me make rational decisions. Looking around, it doesn’t seem to me that most adults make very rational decisions, even if they do have developed cortexes.

My friends and I go on Climate Strike each month because the adults who vote don’t have enough sense to elect politicians who will save our generation’s future.

I think that many adults’ prefrontal cortexes are a bit too developed to make decisions that will work in the long run.
