Re: “Report warns of catastrophic global warming,” Oct. 9.
This was the most important article in the whole paper. A matter of life or possible death or destruction for everyone on this planet. News that everyone needs to see about a subject that every adult on the face of this Earth should be giving serious consideration.
And the Times Colonist buried it on page A10. Where are the paper’s scruples?
We citizens of this world depend on the media to make sure that we receive important news about situations that might bring us potential harm. Obviously, we can’t count on the Times Colonist for this.
The Times Colonist should be ashamed of itself, playing politics when the quality of people’s lives, the extinction of whole species and the end of ecosystems are hanging in the balance.
I am disgusted!
