As a gentleman of advancing years, I find myself walking on the new bicycle lanes as an alternative to the multi-surfaced sidewalks around town. So my conundrum is: Should I continue to use these new, smooth bicycle lanes or revert to the uneven sidewalks and risk the inevitable broken hip from a fall?
