Thanks to the parks department for starting us on the changes we need in our thinking and acting toward an increasingly more wholesome community.

Beacon Hill Park is a jewel in our midst, frequented and enjoyed by parents and their children, joggers as well as bikers and persons on wheelchairs, sunbathers and "critter-lovers." It's a place of well-being.

The park is so much more peaceful, pollution-free and safe because of the reduced car traffic.

Ideally, the roads surrounding the park should have a reduced speed limit and maybe speed bumps installed. The roads are to provide access to the park, not to be thoroughfares.

A wonderful and courageous start to create some car-free areas in our beautiful city.
