Re: "Coal-fired power a bigger problem overseas," Sept. 14.
The Sept. 12 article by Andrew Weaver should be viewed as a canary in the mine and serve as a wake-up call to all Canadians, regardless of political persuasion.
It is easy to point to other countries' coal consumption and feel Canada is doing enough, until we examine what happens to the planet "committed to between 1.8 C and 2.3 C of future global warming."
To infer that Weaver's and other scientists' real "agenda is to excoriate the Conservative government" is disheartening and egregiously demeaning.
