April 14: Electric cars deserve descriptive names

Thankfully, the world has birthed the electric car. However, Electric and Car are its middle and last names. It must be given first names. Names that encapsulate its source of energy would be appropriate and correct many potential misconceptions.

Thankfully, the world has birthed the electric car.

However, Electric and Car are its middle and last names. It must be given first names. Names that encapsulate its source of energy would be appropriate and correct many potential misconceptions.

Here are some suggestions and the associated region of use. “Dammed Valleys” in B.C. “Carbon Fossil” in Alberta. “Radioactive” in Ontario.

In the future, maybe some areas will have better choices such as: “Windmill,” “Solar Panel” or “Tides Up.”

In all seriousness, we must come up with a system that correctly spells out what is charging these cars. Otherwise, people will believe that electric cars are electric and do not contribute to, amongst the other problems, C02 pollution.
