Learn how to make a beer bong from bull kelp

If there's a better example of the West Coast lifestyle, I haven't seen it. While Facebooker Mark Zealand was fishing on the Ogden Point breakwater with "cousin Roger," he decided to shoot a how-to video for making a "West Coast Beer Bong.

If there's a better example of the West Coast lifestyle, I haven't seen it.

While Facebooker Mark Zealand was fishing on the Ogden Point breakwater with "cousin Roger," he decided to shoot a how-to video for making a "West Coast Beer Bong."

His version is made from a 20-foot piece of bull kelp.

Mark grabs his knife, hops down the rocks and plucks a piece of the enormous sea plant from the water. He slices off the leaves, then cuts the top off the bulb.

He even takes time to explain what the kelp is to passerby.

The video reaches its climax when cousin Roger pours the beer in the bulb and Mark successfully gets his drink from the far end.

Worth a try?
