Gallery: Spring run in Victoria

On a recent early morning in Victoria, I couldn't resist stopping several times during my run to snap a photo while thinking of my sis who lives in Ontario. Don't hate me because my city is beautiful.

Dallas Road

Heading along the bluffs on Dallas Road, too early for the usual stream of people. Am I wrong to love having the path to myself?

Dallas love along the water

Message near Clover Point along beach breakwater. Who needs Ryan O'Neal and Ali MacGraw?

------

Beach art

Beachfront architecturally inspired dwelling. Authentic wood finishes. Therapuetic spa-rock beds. Finely articulated for Portlandia refugees. Yours for $750,000. No grow ops allowed on site.

Near the cemetery

Just east of the Ross Bay Cemetery and when it's stormy, one of the Times Colonist photographers' favourite places to get a photo of waves crashing up onto the road.

-----

Roadside blooms

This is for those of you reading this blog from Eastern Canada.

-----

Brighton trail

Away from the water, up through Fairfield and along the Brighton trail in Oak Bay.

-----

cemetery

A tranquil detour through Ross Bay Cemetery. This is one age division where I might actually place in the top three for a spot on the podium.

-----

Gardners or runners?

A brief stop to check out the garden plants for sale outside Demitasse, or as my daughter calls it - that place with the awesome cinnamon buns.

blooms

On the last stretch along lower Cook Street, ending a wonderful 90 minutes along the streets and trails of Victoria. Too bad I found out when I got back to my truck, I locked my key inside. I knew the day started out too good to be true.
