Two Vancouver Island Loblaws employees, including one in Victoria, have tested positive for COVID-19.
According to Loblaws, an employee at the Shoppers Drug Mart at 1222 Douglas St. tested positive on a presumptive test for the virus on Feb. 5. That employee last worked in the store on Feb. 3.
The company also noted that on Feb. 7 an employee at its Real Canadian Superstore in Campbell River tested positive. That employee last worked a shift on Feb. 3.
“In these cases, we work closely with public health and follow their guidance to ensure proper notification of close contacts and required cleaning and sanitization in our stores,” said a media release from Loblaws.
