Woman struck by vehicle at downtown intersection dies from injuries

A woman who was struck by a vehicle in downtown Victoria last week has died from her injuries. The incident happened at 10:30 a.m. March 18 at the corner of Blanshard and View streets.

A woman who was struck by a vehicle in downtown Victoria last week has died from her injuries.

The incident happened at 10:30 a.m. March 18 at the corner of Blanshard and View streets. The woman was taken by ambulance to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

“Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this difficult time,” Victoria police said in a statement released Wednesday.

The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and co-operated with the investigation, police said.

Police are continuing to investigate and are renewing their request for video of what happened. .

Anyone who has information or dash-cam or other video from the intersection of Blanshard and View from the day of the collision is asked to save the video and call the police report desk at 250-995-7654, ext. 1.
