Victoria police are asking for witnesses and more information after a collision that saw a woman on a mobility scooter pinned under a dump truck Friday.
The woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police were called to Bay and Bridge streets about 2:30 p.m. Friday. Bystanders and the dump truck driver gave emergency first aid until B.C. Emergency Health Services paramedics arrived and transported the woman to hospital, police said.
Police continue to investigate the incident and are asking anyone who witnessed the collision to contact the Victoria Police Department’s non-emergency line at 250-995-7654. Anonymous reportes can be made by calling Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
