West Shore RCMP have arrested a man and a woman in connection with a series of break-ins at apartment buildings in Langford.

Police say thieves broke into two apartments on Hoylake Avenue on Jan. 18. In each case, video surveillance showed the culprits stealing packages from the building’s mailroom.

Investigators with the force’s crime reduction unit then linked the thefts to an earlier break-in at an apartment building on Peatt Road on Jan. 10.

Const. Nancy Saggar, media relations officers, said police have arrested a 25-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman.

The man was held in custody, while the woman was released on an undertaking.
