Victoria police investigating sudden death on Dallas Road

Victoria police are investigating the sudden death of a woman whose body was found on the south side of Beacon Hill Park early Wednesday morning. Just after 6 a.m.

Victoria police are investigating the sudden death of a woman whose body was found on the south side of Beacon Hill Park early Wednesday morning.

Just after 6 a.m., officers received a report that an unresponsive woman had been found in the park near Dallas Road, between Douglas and Cook streets. Firefighters and Emergency Health Services were also at the scene. Despite receiving CPR, the woman was pronounced dead.

Detectives with the investigative services division are looking for witnesses and information as they continue to investigate the death. Police would like to talk to any pedestrians, cyclists or drivers who were in the area between midnight and 6 a.m.

“Investigators are ­particularly interested in ­dashcam footage from anyone driving in that area,” said Const. Cam MacIntyre.

On Wednesday morning, a plainclothes officer was talking to people parked in nearby vans.
