West Shore RCMP have arrested two people in connection with a fire that resulted in significant damage to the front porch of a home in View Royal.
Police attended the fire about 5:20 a.m. last Saturday, along with the View Royal Fire Department, at a home on Newstead Crescent. Investigators determined the fire was deliberately set.
Zacharie Nickel, 19, has been charged with uttering threats and 18-year-old Jaden Pierce has been charged with arson.
Both are scheduled to appear in court in March.
