Saanich police are advising residents to lock their sheds after four break-ins over the past week around the municipality.

None of the sheds were locked. Items were stolen in most cases.

A lock on the door and keeping shed windows closed can deter thieves looking for quick items to steal, said Const. Markus Anastasiades, who also suggested adding motion-sensor lighting and a home-security camera.
