A search of a home on Haida Drive in Colwood by West Shore RCMP uncovered a number of stolen items and evidence of drug trafficking, including fentanyl and amphetamine.
The search was Jan. 9, but the investigation began Jan. 3 when police responded to a report of a break-in to a boat at Pedder Bay Marina. Among the items stolen was a $1,000 fish finder.
Police were then able to link the items to the Haida Drive property. The fish finder and other stolen goods have been returned to the owner.
A second fish finder belonging to someone else was also located, and police are seeking to return it to its owner.
A 46-year-old woman has been identified as the suspect.
