Nanaimo RCMP are asking for public assistance as they continue to investigate a May 20 collision that killed a 74-year-woman.

The crash happened just before 9 p.m. at the intersection of the Trans-Canada Highway and Cranberry Avenue.

Given the time of the incident and the number of vehicles that were in the area, police are confident there are more witnesses and that dashcam video is available.

The woman’s car collided with a 2013 Dodge Ram pickup that witnesses indicated did not stop at the red light. Police are trying to obtain evidence about how the truck was being driven before the collision.

No charges have yet been laid.

Police ask anyone with information to call Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345.
