The arrest of the 30-year-old man May 10 followed a search carried out by the West Shore RCMP’s Crime Reduction Unit at a residential Langford property on Moyes Road, near Treanor Avenue.

A 22-year-old woman was struck by a car that stopped briefly and left the scene Wednesday in Langford.

West Shore RCMP said the woman was in a crosswalk at Veterans Memorial Parkway and Goldstream Avenue when a vehicle described as a gold-coloured four-door struck her as it turned left from Goldstream. Police responded about 5:20 p.m.

The woman suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital as a precaution.

“There were many vehicles around that intersection at the time and investigators are looking to speak with any witnesses that could provide crucial information in this case,” said Const. Alex Berube. Contact West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264.
