Nanaimo RCMP are asking for the publicês help in locating Cristian Kaiser of Nanaimo, 23, who has not been in contact with his family since December 2012.

Nanaimo RCMP have issued a plea for information about a man who has not been in contact with his family for over two years.

Cristian Kaiser, 23, was last in communication with loved ones in December 2012. His family members thought they would eventually get word from him directly or through friends, but that didn’t happen.

Police also went to the public looking for information in September 2013 without results, said Nanaimo RCMP Const. Gary O’Brien.

“Since that time, it’s been an active file,” he said. “We haven’t ruled anything out. In this particular case, we have nothing to say where he is, what he’s doing, whether he’s met foul play or not.

“Somebody knows something, and we’re just hoping that person will contact us and give some closure for the family.”

At the time he disappeared, Kaiser had no vehicle and limited financial means and did not use social media.

He is five-foot-four and 120 pounds with olive skin, dark hair and brown eyes.
