RCMP investigating sexual assault in Duncan

North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP are investigating a sexual assault after a woman walking her dog said she was touched inappropriately by a male.

North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP are investigating a sexual assault after a woman walking her dog said she was touched inappropriately by a male.

The woman said the unknown man touched her while she was walking near Howard Avenue and Alexander Street at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

She reported the incident immediately to the RCMP and officers quickly attended the area to look for the male. He is described as about 17, with medium dark hair, wearing a blue medical mask. He was wearing black skinny pants and a black sweater with white writing on front and the hood pulled up.

Investigators are looking to speak with anyone who may have video surveillance or dash camera video, or who saw someone matching the description of the male in the area of Howard Avenue, Alexander Street, or Chesterfield Avenue around 6:30 p.m. Jan. 24.
