North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP are investigating after a dump truck and a car collided about 10:30 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Beverly Street and the Trans-Canada Highway in Duncan.
The lone occupant of the car was taken to hospital by B.C. Ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries. The truck driver was uninjured and is being assisted by Cowichan Valley Regional RCMP Victim Services.
Police said many people gave assistance at the scene.
