Victoria police have released a photo of a woman who allegedly spat on a B.C. Transit bus driver, in hopes of identifying her.

The driver told police the incident happened about 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 29 after the bus came to a sudden stop when it was cut off by another vehicle.

A young woman at the front of the bus fell from her seat during the stop and became irate, yelling and pulling on the driver’s partition. She then spit on the driver and fled south on Quadra Street.

The woman is described as white and five-foot-four with a slender build. She had long hair and was wearing a light-grey sweatshirt and dark leggings.

Anyone with information is asked to call Victoria police at 250-995-7654, extension 1, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
