Sidney/North Saanich RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect after a bus driver was assaulted Tuesday.
The assault happened about 7 a.m. on a bus in the area of Lochside Drive and Bakerview Place.
Police found the driver suffering from facial injuries. He had reportedly been assaulted by a male passenger who fled on foot carrying a duffle bag.
B.C. Ambulance paramedics transported the driver to hospital.
The suspect is known to take the same bus route daily, police said.
He is described as having a thin build, dark hair and a moustache or goatee. He was wearing a checkered jacket and a white undershirt.
