Victoria police arrested a man Thursday after he allegedly threatened another man with a knife.
Police were called to the 1000 block of Pandora Avenue about 10 a.m. to deal with a report that a man had brandished a knife during an argument.
The suspect fled into a nearby grocery store.
Officers, along with a police dog, located the man as he was leaving the store. Because he was armed and was suspected of having committed a violent offence, he was arrested at gunpoint.
The man was searched and three knives and brass knuckles were found. He had been on probation with condition that he not possess knives or other weapons.
A 28-year-old Victoria man is facing recommended charges of breach of probation.
