Two men are being sought after a police car was rammed with a U-Haul vehicle in Sooke on Thursday.

An officer was patrolling the area of Sooke Road and Drennan Street about 10:10 a.m. when he noticed two men in a stopped vehicle, which had Alberta licence plates. They appeared to be eyeing a parked pickup, so the officer pulled up to ask what they were doing.

At that point, the police car was rammed, giving the truck enough room to get by and travel eastward along Sooke Road.

The police officer was not injured; the police car had minor damage.

The two men are described as white, likely in their 20s and wearing black and grey hoods. Police said they were dishevelled in appearance, and driving a smaller U-Haul cube van or truck.

Sooke RCMP ask anyone with information to call them at 250-642-5241 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
