A Victoria man is facing 28 breach-related charges and a pair of drug charges after a search warrant carried out at his Shelbourne Street home led to the seizure of a crossbow, a machete and seven replica firearms, along with fentanyl and methamphetamine.

The breach charges include breach of probation orders that he not possess weapons.

Victoria police and the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team conducted the search June 28 in the 2500-block of Shelbourne Street, near Bay Street. Also found were shotgun and rifle ammunition and close to $10,000 in cash believed to be the proceeds of drug trafficking.
