Painting of Buddha stolen from Comox home

Comox Valley RCMP is trying to recover a painting that was stolen from a family’s home last month. Someone entered the carport of a home in the 600-block of Anderton Road in Comox and stole a canvas depicting Buddha.

Comox Valley RCMP is trying to recover a painting that was stolen from a family’s home last month.

Someone entered the carport of a home in the 600-block of Anderton Road in Comox and stole a canvas depicting Buddha.

Comox Valley RCMP did not release the value of the painting or its artist.

“You cannot put a price on something with sentimental value,” said Const. Monika Terragni, spokesperson for Comox Valley RCMP. “This painting needs to get back to the owner.”

The detachment’s crime reduction unit is investigating and looking to speak with potential witnesses.
