Oak Bay police responded to a report of a break-in early April 20 after residents of an Uplands home were awakened by a stranger inside their home.

Police were called about 1:45 a.m. and were told the male seemed disoriented and confused, and said he must be in the wrong house.

When confronted by the residents, he left through the front door.

He was not aggressive, did not make any threats and did not steal anything, police said.

Officers searched the area but no one was found. It is thought that the male got into the home through an unlocked door.
