Firefighters put out a fire in the 3000 block of Larkdowne Road in Oak Bay on Tuesday evening.
No one was hurt, said Oak Bay Fire Chief Dave Cockle.
The fire started in the living room of a house. It appears it was accidental, Cockle said.
The Oak Bay, Saanich and Victoria fire departments all responded.
The extent of the damage is not yet known.
